Spent three seasons at Great Camp Sagamore in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. GCS was once the summer retreat of Alfred Vanderbilt and his wife Margaret Emerson. Today it is a truly unique historic site that operates seasonally. While there, conducted historic tours to crowds sometimes over 50+ people, researched elements of its history in order to create a new female-oriented tour, helped restore the old servants quarters using preservation techniques, gave public lectures, and more. Also managed the gift shop including PoS systems. Show less

Mordecai Historic Park is home to one of the oldest houses in Raleigh, NC along with the birthplace of former president Andrew Johnson. While employed at Mordecai Historic Park, was responsible for leading school groups (elementary-middle) through the site on an almost daily basis. This included interpreting a nineteenth-century plantation to young children and assisting with public programming. In the gift shop, was responsible for PoS systems and ticketing. Oftentimes, had to supervise and coordinate special events and rentals such as weddings and even paranormal investigations. The most unusual responsibility, however, was that of an official tour guide for the "Raleigh Trolley," a tour bus that travels throughout downtown Raleigh. Show less
