  I work across a diverse portfolio of research projects focused on outdoor recreation, school sport, workplace health and healthy lifestyles and increasing participation. A key focus to all my work is assessing 'what works'​ to inform practice and planning, to help shape future policy. I have managed a number of major evaluations focused on sporting initatives (such as Sport England's 'Sport Unlimited'​ and 'School Games'). My work also includes evaluating public health based initiatives to encourage healthy lifestyles and identifying how value for money can be achieved. I am currently involved in research to establish the value of outdoor recreation. I am a Social Return on Investment (SROI) trained practitioner.
