Throughout my role at PwC Luxembourg, I have been: • Working with clients to improve and/or define their sustainability strategy by conducting gap analyses and benchmarking their strategies and annual reports against peers and international standards, and identifying solutions to deliver sustainable outcomes that address their needs. • Assisting client-facing teams in developing clients’ annual reports to be aligned with latest regulatory and non-regulatory standards and expanding their KPIs accordingly. • Assisting in the preparation of PwC Luxembourg’s Annual Report by managing and co-writing the sustainability aspects of the report for two consecutive years, as well as ensuring that it is prepared in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards as well as with the latest reporting initiative "Measuring Stakeholder Capitalism: Toward Common Metrics and Consistent Reporting of Sustainable Value Creation", which was prepared by the World Economic Forum and the International Business Council. • Coordinating PwC Luxembourg’s Net Zero strategy with the Sustainability Leader, where I am developing an action plan by conducting gap analyses and inventory checks and subsequently setting goals, targets and KPIs. I also represent PwC in Luxembourg’s Science-Based Targets and Climate Action Task Force led by a local organization IMS (Inspire More Sustainability). • Providing expert knowledge on the field of Business and Human Rights and promoting an internal human rights agenda, as well as taking part in the national Business and Human Rights Working Group. • Participating in the development of an SDG Assessment tool that aims to align PwC’s activities with the SDGs and identifying new measurements that can advance our journey to achieving the goals, and thus report on our progress accordingly. I have also contributed to the research of PwC's SDG Challenge in both 2018 and 2019. Show less

    • Good Governance Intern
      • Feb 2017 - Apr 2017

Intern with the Good Governance team at the Head Quarters of an international NGO called Friendship, in Dhaka, Bangladesh. My main tasks were: - Writing case studies about beneficiaries in the Northern regions of Bangladesh with whom Friendship work with; - Supporting the Field and Head Office staff to finalise the case studies for publication. In order to get a better feel of the case studies I was writing, I visited on site projects that Friendship were conducting in the North of the country. Specifically, I was introduced to the many activities organised by the Good Governance sector, but I also had the chance to see the work of other sectors of the organisation - including the famous hospital ships. Abrigado is a NGO based in Luxembourg that works as a harm reduction programme through needle exchanges for drug users. Their main purpose is to provide a safe environment in the form of a controlled “consumption room” for drug users. The programme also aims at reducing the risk of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C transmission. My tasks included: - helping with the needle exchange; and - collecting statistical data on age range, quantity and ways of drugs consumption. This internship allowed me to get an insight into the lives of drug users, and the professional work to assist them. Moreover, I had the opportunity for extended exchanges both with staff and drug users about the pertinence and the results of the programme. Show less
