Despite his young age, his technical knowledge make him a brilliant and inspiring developer. Maxime is a good teamplayer, one of those you always choose on your squad. I warmly recommend him for both technical and soft skills.

Hakim Ben Amar

Even though he doesn't have a lot of experience, Maxime knows his trade. His coding skills are up to the standard and by using both his analytical and people skills, he could manage a critical application single-handedly.

My current mission take place at AG Insurance. I joined a team of more than 10 people as technical designer. The project I’m working on is a huge .NET 4.5 web application migrated of an old VB6 web application. In a first time, I had a look on how it worked and is maintained. The front-end is in ASP Webform and JQuery. The back-end is mainly integrated in the front end and for the rest, it is put behind WCF services. There’s also a link to a mainframe. The source code is hosted in a TFS repository. In a second time, I took the chance to bring some new technologies and ideas for the application. I included Entity Framework 6 with a repository pattern and a Unit of Work pattern to be able to isolate fully the data access from the business layer. I put above it a business layer that respects the current practice in matters of security and logging. Thanks to that I was able to introduce a good unit test practice. I used for that the Moq framework. I’m also working on introducing Typescript as a better practice. There is currently a lot of javascript code within the application. I was also invited to give some advice on the possible future technologies such as Angular for the front end or the use of visual studio online. I was chosen as the backup of the team tech lead. I had the opportunity to use my new implementation of Entity Framewok in the last project I did. The point was to enhance a batch (console application) with new law rules. Thanks to the technology upgrade, I brought enhanced query performance with more control on the existing features. Show less

I was part of one of the biggest IT projects of the company in collaboration with Cegeka. This project concerned a tax calculation application in ASP MVC. Acting as a link between Cegeka and PwC and helping Cegeka with my business and technical knowledge, the project was done in scrum methodology. After this project, I was named as Project Manager for a medium project. Projects at PwC were managed following the Prince2 methodology. The point was the integration of a SharePoint DMS in an old Tax application. I was responsible of defining the role and responsibilities of the different people working for the project. The team was formed of members of Price Waterhouse Coopers Belgium and Price Waterhouse Coopers Germany. I created and followed up the planning, making sure all the stages were taken into account for all teams (from analysis to the release). It was important to coordinate the go live of the different parties to make sure the project was achieved in the best way possible. I also took part of the development.Afterwards, I had the opportunity to act as Project Manager for the integration between SAP HR and an HR external party. For this project, I had to plan resources from .NET and SAP teams. After identifying the exact needs with our HR department, I ensured a doable planning was made, including all stages as in Prince2 principle (manage by stages) and the low availability of HR to test. This project ended just before Christmas holidays, so the challenge was to ensure correct availabilities of infrastructure and security teams. I also took part of the development. Show less

At PwC, I had the opportunity to work as consultant on several small ASP Webform project. I was responsible for the whole process, meaning analysis to final delivery. I also worked on bigger project on a tax calculation application written in Winform on which we have done lots of improvement such as put it in .NET 4.5, adding Entity Framework or even having a WCF layer in it.

Emixis application exists for Android, BlackBerry and some old Operating System. This application is made for fleet and mobile workforce management with a location and synchronization service. The purpose of this project was rewriting this application for Windows Phone and Windows Store with a maximum of common code. The major challenge I encountered was the willing of emixis that the synchronisation and the localisation had to be portable. I had to work with portable library and find a database which works with the two OS. I used SQLite but had to adapt a custom wrapper because Microsoft has no wrapper for it. Show less
