Glacies is specialized in seasonal thermal storage: meaning using the passage of seasons (winter-summer) to store heat using the phase change properties of water. We are currently focusing on the mining industry (underground mines) where we propose units capable of heating in the range of ten of megawatts of heat with a very small input of electrical energy. We are replacing gas burners generating more than 20% of the mines GHG. Our system is reversible, meaning we can use the ice produced during winter (with our heating process) for cooling during summer. Thus, we can heat the air entering the mine during winter and cool it during summer at a low energetic cost, thanks to seasonal thermal storage. Glacies is a start-up at the pre-revenue stage, I pivoted the company in 2021 for the mining industry. From there, I secured institutional funding, built a dream team of entrepreneurs who validated the market fit, the business opportunity and demonstrated our technology at a laboratory scale (order of kilowatts). We are in the process of doing implementation studies and securing our demonstration with a client. Show less

I am working in Maglio since 2008. I was working part-time while completing my master’s and working on my Ph.D. degree. I had the opportunity to buy Maglio in 2017, which was then mostly a SR&ED firm. Since then, I extended the service offer to cover all aspects of external financing of innovative and growing companies. Our mission is to help entrepreneurs achieve their vision by living their project with them (planning and executing projects). We are SR&ED experts, we know mostly all subsidies, we can help with banking financing, venture capital (we are developing that service) and I want to help a client do an IPO soon. Show less
