BIOS is a full-stack neural interface company creating the open standard hardware and software interface between the human nervous system and AI.As the first employee at BIOS I have witnessed the company grow from a small 3 person outfit to a cross-continent, multi-disciplined team. My role is primarily centred in hardware, designing prosthetic connectors, electro-mechanical enclosures, pre-clinical trialling equipment, and wearables all within the stringent world of medical device design. Supporting this role I also worked closely with the founders producing conceptual products and marketing materials that often found their way into investor pitches, whitepapers and promotional material.

Helix Innovation was a design company angled at providing inexpensive and in-house design services to small startups looking to develop hardware. Helix Innovation took on clients that had the outlines of a concept and pushed them into the first prototype stage. The appeal of Helix was the variety and amount of resources it could offer including: onsite machining, welding, woodworking, finishing and 3d printing; CAD; product design; electro-mechanical design; applied engineering; and concept rendering. While working under Helix Innovation some of the products I developed include:- E-liquid storage devices- an exo-prosthesis for rehabilitation- open-source prosthetics for archery, tennis, rowing and kayaking

Cycle Surgery is an award winning cycle store where I spent much of my time in bike and accessory sales. My specific store focused on Triathlon and road bikes where I not only fostered my hobby for cycling up mountains but discovered engineering techniques from a sector driven by technology. It was while I was at Cycle Surgery that I developed my first prosthetic design using bike parts as replaceable components in a farming prosthetic for an amputated farmer.
