Prior to my MSc Spatial Planning course at Oxford Brookes University. I made contact with Suffolk Coastal District Council who kindly invited my to undertake work experience in their planning offices. I worked closely with the conservation and heritage consultant and several of the teams planning officers. Whilst under supervision, I independently worked on small scale planning applications received. I also attended several meetings regarding the large scale Adastral park project. Furthermore, I initiated the annual quality of place awards that take part for the district council, which is viewed highly by the planning committee Show less

    • Camp Counsellor
      • May 2016 - Aug 2016

I travelled independently to America and spent three months living on camp in the national forest. I looked after children aged 11-16 who stayed with us on a weekly rotation. My duties included outdoor high rope activities, general supervision and evening entertainments. I was the only camp counsellor from outside the states and made a lot of new friends whilst enjoying a unique camp experience in the outdoors. From this experience, I learnt new leadership and communication skills which have benefitted me highly since taking part in this programme. Show less
