  In collaboration with Shift and Beatfreeks, The Wellcome Trust commissioned research into ‘How can health and science research better engage young people aged 13-24’. This project involved interviewing young people focusing on mental health, climate change, and Covid-19. My role as co-lead researcher involved carrying out qualitative research. Over 100 interviews of young people were completed from across the UK and numerous interviews with researching working in the relative field, to understand the barriers that they face in including young people in their research.   I was the team leader for the health research team. Our project focused on policies that aim to reduce health inequalities in Scottish children. We researched policies, looking both domestically and internationally into what policies have worked to tackle this wicked issue.
