  The research to aim the effect of whey from cheese making as moisturizer in total mixed ration. Total mixed ration was fermented for 30 days, each treatment used 3 replications. Test at total mixed ration are physical test, proximat [dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), ether extract (EE), and crude fiber (CF)], microbial, pH, ammonia and lactic acid. Whey as a remoisturizer had no significant effect on dry matter (DM), organic matter (OM), ether extract (EE), and crude fiber (CF). The use of whey as a remoisturizer on fermented total mixed ration production did not significantly affect the concentrations of ammonia and lactic acid. In physical tests, the use of whey as a remoisturizer improved the color quality, density, and texture. The research result show whey can be utilized as moisturizer. Show less
