  IT Manager for a variety of national IT projects conducted on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Health - department of veterinary public healthcare, food safety and public health safeguarding. Head of R&D tasks for Big Data, No-SQL, IoT and Analytics solutions.Since 2013 I, and my working team, have given attention to the engineering data-oriented systems approaching non-relational data models (No-Sql, Neo4j, Spark and more) to provides Big Data analytics with the implementation of specific statistical algorithm in order to coding datasets into strategic insights to the stakeholders. Moreover, specific featuring was developed in order to facilitate the identification of business’ trends and needs. I have specifically worked in the defining process of Big Data best practices both for the technical (solutions/products scouting) and methodological prospective; in particular the use of graph-based databases (Neo4j) and distributed computing (Hadoop/mongoDB), allowed to reach tremendous results in a timely fashion due to the intrinsic potential to detect hidden relationships in various types of dataset (Open Data and epidemiological risk analysis). Most of the designed solutions were developed on Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), where I worked on the design and scaling of virtual resources. Show less
