In particular, he based his job on the combination of four basic concepts: security, infrastructural systems, stakeholders' management, economic development. Networked infrastructural systems are analysed from an economic perspective and evaluated in their criticality. Security and risk matters are explored as they involve threats for socio-economic systems, with particular reference to the evolution of markets and technologies. In order to front such complexity, involving a plurality of stakeholders and their perspectives, a risk governance approach is proposed, as a ‘joint integrated management’ able to implement a participatory process and the principle of decision-makers accountability. This solution responds to the need of guaranteeing security assurance in a multinational and interconnected context. In order to give an answer about the choice among different risk governance strategic policy options and single measures to be implemented, a methodology of impact assessment is to be planned. This methodology will allow to evaluate the different impacts according to given key dimension, related to micro (stakeholders’ level) and macro level (economic policy level). This is to be done, certainly, in consideration of the principles of good governance and of the risk governance process architecture.
