In range of an proposal aimed to refactor, optimize and avoid the useless proliferation of servers for all the ECM silos (Claims, Portfolio, etc...), the customer accepted the proposition to migrate the core Business Claims silos from the Windows Documentum Environment in version 6.5 to a brand new Linux Documentum Farm 7.1, deferring Portfolio to a second phase. The Content Management System provides the governance for an amount of 40+ millions of documents (more than 7 millions of documents per year) for a total of ~10 TB of storage data, used by approximately 15.000+ users, through 4 differents custom portals. The new platform has been designed to guarantee very high performances and an Enterprise Service Level, adopting concepts of Data Partitioning and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) to the documents and all the activities related to them. He followed all the activities of the project, starting from the collection of the requisites to the rollout phases of the new Documentum Farm, the design phases and the migration processes. The challenging part pertained to the different Operating System - different Documentum version "double jump", approaching the migration with a two-phases methodology in order to avoid any kind of problems and to guarantee a rollback clean operation to the old version if something went wrong during the rollout process. He guaranteed the migration of the Claims core business Silos to the new Linux Documentum Farm in 7.1 version, that is also ready to house all the other repositories that the customer want to use for the present and the future uses (e.g. Portfolio in Phase 2). Member of the EMC2 Delivery Team in charge of the G.E.C.T. Project (Electronic Management of Contract and Transactions). The project aims to dematerialize every process involved in the 15.000 Postal Offices day-by-day activities, offering to the 60.000 employees, posted through the entire National area, a fully digital suite of components in order to centralize the contracting and transaction information and to replace all the papers modules with an immediate digital portrayal, directly to the end users. The solution provides tablet-based eSignature capture functionalities with biometrics controls and specimen features in order to let the end-user to sign their digital version of the contracts. Also, it provides a Capture System, based on EMC2 Captiva, to handle dematerialization of the contracts’ attachments. Plus, the solution provides a real-time composition feature, based on EMC2 Document Science platform, that manages the real-time composition of the Transactions modules automatically from the Post Offices’ workstations. Based on the Oracle SOA Suite that, as middle tier, orchestrates the transactions between the client modules and the back-end, it also includes an EPCM system (Electronic Postal Certification Mark) that provides the apposition of a digital mark on the legal documents. All the information are stored in an Extended EMC2 Documentum platform, that is in charge of the maintenance and the organization of the dossiers for Contracts and Transactions. He designed and helped to build the full Integration Architecture of the solution, leading the assessment and the requirements gathering. He also helped on the sub-architectures of the three EMC2 suites (Documentum, Captiva, Document Science), in order to handle a magnitude of 4100 concurrent transactions and a reckoning of 630.000+ dossier / year and 100.000.000+ transactions / year, making a total of 350TB of data / year. Design and implementation of a brand new ECM Platform for managing the bank Customer’s bank accounts documentation. The solution, based on EMC2 Documentum, achieved the goal of governing the entire bank Customers through a full 3-tier architecture and a custom Internet application integrated in the home Banking site. The platform is able to handle a magnitude of 1000+ concurrent Internet users with SSO capabilities and response times close to 20ms. Architectural Review and Trouble Shooting of the Documentum based eLearning platform “Lernwelt”. The Customer complained heavy performance problems on time responses of the platform, since the adoption of the SCORM standard, reporting a time response average of 20+ seconds. The activities led to the design of a brand new architecture, based on 64 bit systems, dedicating different VMs to each platform layer, such as presentation / web layer and database level, applying a full 3-tier model architecture. Migration of an EMC2 Documentum platform starting from the 5.3 to the 6.6 version, evolving the platform toward 4 active / active clustered nodes in a Linux environment, adding a disaster recovery system on a different geographical centre. Currently, the Content Management System provides the governance for 3.000.000+ documents, allocateb in 500GB+ of storage, used by approximately 400 final users. The allocated space has been splitted on differed storages using the Content Storage Services (CSS) module. During these activities, he guaranteed the rollout of a brand new dematerialization platform with EMC2 Captiva for the governance of contracts delivered by the agencies. It manages an acquisition process that starts getting a stack of documents from multifunction printers (agencies), it reads metadata parsing a DATAMATRIX barcode (one for each document in the stack) and it exports the documents toward the Documentum repository, launching at the end a Documentum BPM process to apply categories and taxonomy. As Product Specialist and Solution Architect, he covered the Application Maintenance of the EMC2 Documentum platforms, governed by the Middleware dept. of Unicredit Global Information Services. Inside the team in charge of the content management projects, he supported the personnel, analyzing the projects’ requisites and implementing several EMC2 Documentum solutions in WCM mode for the contents’ publication and over the intranet / extranet / internet portals in an IBM AIX environment. He supported the Head of MDW in the switch-off of all the content management projects, taking part in stress test phase preparatory to the Day 1; plus, he took part in all the war rooms in all the cases of architectural issues of the EMC2 Documentum platforms.
