At this moment, I am currently doing an internship at Sandfire MATSA in the geotechnical department of the Aguas Teñidas mine. My work involves the characterization of the rock mass inside the mine, obtaining various parameters necessary for the calculation and design of mine support. I also participated in the area of describing drillings aimed at geotechnical modeling. During my final degree project in geology, I focused on cartography and characterization of clay minerals using the technique of X-ray diffraction (DRX). As part of this project, I developed a database and an application using JavaScript to digitize graphics, which allowed for greater efficiency in data collection and analysis. I also generated an atlas with over 100 geological maps at scales of 1:25000 and 1:100000. This experience allowed me to improve my skills in using technological tools for geological research. As part of the Imperial Barrel Award, I participated in a seismic interpretation project to develop a comprehensive stratigraphic model for an area located in the northern Gulf of Mexico. Using advanced techniques and exploration software, we analyzed sedimentological, petrophysical, seismic, geochemical, and paleontological data to evaluate the stratigraphic sequence and identify potential fossil resources. We then integrated our findings with a structural model and employed geostatistical methods to create detailed maps of the best tramping areas and estimate the quantity of resources available. As an exploration geologist, I played a key role in a field study project in northern Falcon state, Venezuela. I conducted a thorough literature review, as well as analyses of aerial photographs and satellite images. During the field phase, I carried out sampling, measurements of structures, and geological mapping at a 1:10,000 scale. Additionally, I worked on the development of stratigraphic and structural models. This experience allowed me to acquire valuable skills in geological project management, as well as in the interpretation and analysis of geological data. Show less
