Promotion: Social media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), incl. preparing draft posts for each issue to be reviewed by the co-editors to be reviewed and amended ahead of the issue’s publication, identifying opportunities for disseminating FMR more broadly (using hashtags, etc.), as well as maintaining event/conference spreadsheet. Recently, assisting Managing Editor with development of a new Digital Strategy, and actively growing audience. Responsible for uploading each issue’s podcasts and liaising with IT podcast team, filling in metadata for each uploaded article (podcast series currently paused). Some independent correspondence and editing (draft emails, draft pdf of issues/weblink checking). Finance: Assisting 2 Co-editors and 1 Administrative Assistant producing 3 issues/year, arranging for quotes, PO numbers, invoice payment, keeping updated expenses spreadsheets, checking monthly general ledger for accuracy. Providing support for applications for funding and reporting to donors, incl. providing bespoke budgets when required at short notice and adapting to varied, sometimes complex, donor reporting structures. Preparing financial reports and budgets annually and then on as needed throughout the financial year. In liaison with the Finance Officer at the Refugee Studies Centre, preparing FMR’s year-end accounts, drafting year-end income and expenditure totals and financial reconciliation sheet for the RSC Finance Officer.
