Mila Petrenko

Maureen has been a dedicated ESL volunteer for the Jewish Community Center/Jewish Community Action "VOICE" Project for low-income Russian seniors for over 4 years. Her passion, dedication and care for each of her students was incredible and inspiring. Maureen gave all her heart to these isolated immigrants and made sure the time she spent with them was always the highlight of their day! Not only did they learn English but they were able to connect with a kind, warm and caring individual who volunteered her time to make the world a better and a happier place. Thank you, Maureen for your dedicated time! We will never forget all your did to enrich the lives of this special immigrant senior population. You are a true gem.
