Coordinating the day to day operations of the Capitol Region Purchasing Council, a cooperative purchasing council for 85+ towns and government entities in the State of Connecticut. Certified Public Purchasing Buyer. We handle the bid process for cooperative bids commodities like fuel oil, gasoline, treated road salt, grass seed, fertilizer, pesticides, swimming pool and water treatment chemicals; and services including catch basin cleaning, stormwater monitoring and ladder testing. This includes soliciting requirements from our members, developing and updating bid specifications, advertising bid opportunities through newspapers, the Department of Administrative Services and BidSync, and tabulating bid results. As part of this program I report bid savings annually and compile a monthly fuel oil report.Provide administrative support to CRCOG's Executive Director, which includes scheduling, travel and conference arrangements, meeting agendas and minutes. Provide administrative support for Municipal Services, which includes the Capitol Region Purchasing Council, energy consortium bids, Central Connecticut Solid Waste Authority and Service Sharing. Provide administrative support for Policy & Planning, which includes the Sustainable Knowledge Corridor, the Corridor Advisory Committee and the CTFastrak Corridor Advisory Subcommittee, the Regional Natural Disaster Hazard Mitigation project and other projects as needed. Provide administrative support for Special Projects, which includes ezIQC (Indefinite Quantity Contracting), the CRCOG Foundation, and other projects as needed.Research grant and other information for the Green Clearinghouse website (greenregionct.org), as well as providing general content.
