Today, we have a team of world-class engineers working to solve the supply chain security problem in IoT and other connected devices. Using our automated firmware reverse engineering platform, users can reveal the threats and vulnerabilities inside their connected devices and their supply chains. The Finite State platform allows both asset owners and device manufacturers to look inside these devices and see every vulnerability that has been introduced by their supply chain. We do this by automatically analyzing the firmware and software inside these connected devices using a state of the art reverse engineering pipeline that discovers everything from configuration issues to deeply embedded vulnerabilities in binaries. We provide the most extensive visibility into key areas of asset risk that are correlated to serious vulnerabilities and active threats including: default credentials, supply chain compromises, insecure network services, known and 0-day vulnerabilities, potential backdoors, and even vendor responsiveness to security issues. In 2019, Finite State conducted the most comprehensive, public analysis of the security of Huawei network equipment ever undertaken. The analysis was designed to provide supporting data to help answer security questions related to upcoming 5G deployments around the world.
