  I began my BUMP journey as a mentee during my first semester at UF. The program was an excellent way for me to get acquainted with the business school. More importantly, I met with my mentor once a week to discuss academic success, professional development, and any other questions I had. Continuing my involvement in the program, I became a Mentor to aid younger students in the same struggles that I faced as a wide-eyed first-year student. I aid my mentee in professional skills such as interview tactics, time management, and establishing connections. I also actively participate in bi-weekly meetings with other mentors where we discuss our successes and struggles in our roles. Show less

  When LCDR and Guild Co-founder Mike Conallen told me, "Welcome Aboard!" as he hired me, I knew I was going to enjoy my position at Guild Financial. I sat in on meetings with experienced Public Relations professionals, designed a landing page, and gained experience in posting on social media platforms in fixed schedules for Guild’s main social media accounts.
