As a freelance writer, I am responsible for supporting and facilitating the vision of the art directors, narrative designers, and other creative producers that hire me. I do this by researching different properties that inspired them per their briefs, scheduling creative storyboarding meetings with them, and editing pieces per their creative input. I was thrilled to discover how this role makes me feel like a member of all these creative teams and that this allows me to do a lot of worldbuilding with them and -- on several occasions -- inform the vision and execution of the art that was paired with the material I wrote! I have since continued working alongside this professor by analyzing the collected data and keeping up to date on the scientific literature regarding the relationship between gamification and student motivation.
