Development of innovative solutions for integration of optical components into surgery tools and point-of-care diagnostic devices. My work includes the specification, the design and the fabrication of ground-breaking prototypes using micro-optical components such as optical fiber, micro-lenses, integrated source and detection devices... My two main activities are around integration of optical sensors into surgery tools and packaging of Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) for biomedical diagnosis. I'm involved in different projects of the IPIC (Irish Photonic Integration Center), projects founded by multinational biomedical companies such as Stryker and LakeRegion medical or by european founding (H2020) in consortium organization with several industrial and academic partners. - http://www.cardis-h2020.eu/ - http://www.octchip.researchproject.at/ - http://www.tyndall.ie/news/lake-region-medical-partners-tyndall-national-institute-shine-light-heart-disease - http://www.sfi.ie/news-resources/press-releases/irish-photonic-integration-centre-(ipic)-and-stryker.html Show less
