Peak of May 2022, the NFT market was booming with over $300MM in sales and 37MM active users which ultimately meant there was an opportunity to get more accessible exposure to crowdfunding. We took this opportunity to launch our own NFT collection to fund what is going to be the most user friendly mobile wallet for NFTs. Cellar.Wallets build for NFTs as an afterthought. A need to resort to outdated excel spreadsheets to maintain a somewhat ‘clearer’ insight into our NFT portfolios. This is where we thought a digital asset storage must be mobile-first and easily accessible with a goal to empower users to manage, explore and discover NFT tools. Matthieu lead the design process for the mobile app having gone as far as creating an interactable prototype with the next steps now being development. For which we attended the yearly Solana Breakpoint event in Lisbon to be introduced to key mobile blockchain developers building on the SMS techstack. Phenomenal event, very well organised.Due to it being early days, the remaining journey is still to be written... Show less

Globes exchange had been growing at an exponential rate with them wanting to venture into the NFT space to explore various additional revenue streams to expand into. This is where Matthieu had a piece to play. He was hired as part of the NFT team to explore the market, get quaint with it and find feasible projects to build. This is where the first idea sprang to mind 'SnowGlobe'. SnowGlobe is a blockchain-powered film financing platform. SnowGlobe is creating film as an asset class by allowing filmmakers to finance their projects through non-fungible token allocation. Consumers will be able to gain exposure to the potential upside of successful long-form content through fractionalized ownership of the intellectual property of content.Matthieu lead the UI/UX for the platform having gone as far as creating an interactable prototype but unfortunately due to market conditions and lack of healthy competitors, being first to market was too great a risk. The idea is there, but the market isn't quite ready. Show less

      • May 2019 - Sep 2021

Having Co-Founded Wutzu during most probably the worst time due to having been in the middle of his exams (A-Levels), it quickly became a two year long project before getting acquired by a New York based logistics company back in September of 2021. Wutzu classed itself under the large nest of speedy grocery delivery services with the only notable difference being that they were there to support local businesses instead of removing them from the supply chain. They built out their very own bespoke marketplace platform (incl. iOS & Android apps) that offered local businesses a means to having an online store and interconnected logistics all built under one roof for a seamless experience. Having signed up more than 35+ stores within London, they suddenly grew their team from 2 initial co-founders to a strong team of 10 people within 6-months. Matthieu was product owner which meant he coordinated between both the dev & sales team under the agile methodology that they had implemented for a leaner and more efficient way of working. Additionally, his main expertise lied within the UI/UX, which is where he was hanging out most of the day (Figma) when he didn't have to deal with payroll or any other finance related task. The biggest take from having built his startup up would be to not underestimate your skillset. It's all about getting out of your comfort zones and learning new shit whilst you keep iterating on the product. Show less
