  I planted Refuge Point Church in 2010 and I serve as the Lead Pastor. Refuge is a growing multi cultural church that is passionate about seeing community transformation. I am primarily responsible for: • Developed launch team and started Refuge Point Church in 2010• Provided leadership and vision to the church• Taught messages on a weekly basis• Oversaw the board of elders• Led and mentored the staff• Mentored young adults on a weekly basis• Assist with job references, service referrals, and educational applications requested by congregants/organizations • Provided pre/post marriage counseling for couples• Provided pastoral counseling to the church• Equipped church members to provide leadership for students and support families as they raise their students in the faith• Created a culture that is known for being community oriented and hosts outreaches where hundreds of people gather• Started a clothes boutique that provides free clothes to the community

Relationships Smarts is an interactive and activity-based comprehensive healthy relationship skills and sexual risk avoidance program for young teens. The lessons embody an innovative and integrated approach that addresses positive youth development, life skills, healthy relationships, communication and conflict management, dating violence, and sexual delay/risk avoidance.
