Bio
Tim High
Matt is an incredibly talented, intelligent, and multi-faceted individual whom I both respect and have great expectations for. He was very open and generous with fellow students in my beginning and intermediate Serigraphy (silkscreen) Printmaking classes in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin. He has had even greater impact since he completed his work with me during his undergraduate studies. As a graduate student at UT Austin, Matt shouldered the leadership in directing the Austin chapter of the national ONE MILLION BONES project, which was consummated in public installation of hand-fabricated human bones at the Texas state capitol building grounds and later at the National Mall in Washington, DC, with the noble intent of protesting the proliferation of genocide in Africa, Serbia, Syria, and throughout the world. He is completing his MA degree in Art Education and believes strongly in the value of education for the betterment of the individual and society as a whole. I am dead certain that Matt will continue to be a blessing to his students and colleagues wherever he may go.
Mary Lee Webeck, Ph.D.
I have had the good fortune to work with Matthew over the past four years in a variety of capcities related to my role of education director in an urban museum. To any school, museum or organization seeking a highly creative, hardworking, and conscientious staff member, I most highly recommend Matthew Remington. He brings an amazing capacity for critical thinking and connecting with people. Teacher extrodinairre, he brings concepts to life in a caring, articulate and deeply thoughtful manner.
