I assessed over 600 startups during my time with the LABS team across a wide range of services including member navigation, behavioral health, diabetes, fertility, MSK, cardiovascular, and provider stratification. We provided our clients access to these early-stage organization through our National Innovation Symposiums. As project manager for the events that occur on both coasts, I helped select the curriculum of companies that will be featured on this national stage and worked with the startups to refine their pitch for the employer market. I led strategic partnership development with a subset of these select early-stage startups that we featured in the Symposiums and supported the development of the go-to-market strategy to the Mercer consultants.

My role and the role of the members of our client teams include advising companies on the designs of their benefits programs, choosing the appropriate funding methods, and marketing clients’ coverages to obtain the most advantageous contracts possible. I also work with them on a daily basis to answer questions and solve concerns surrounding their benefits programs, to track the costs and performance of their coverage’s and to serve as a carrier liaison on the client’s behalf should any issues arise. In addition to this primary role mentioned above, I also work with Mercer's Total Health Management team searching the market for innovative solutions to client problems. The focus is on companies in the early stages of their development that are tackling common client issues with alternative methodology and cutting edge technology not previously seen in the market.
