As a member of the development team Matt’s role at Servinity was to work under my direction to implement and design solutions to requirements coming from the business team. Throughout his time at Servinity Matt was able to use his solid computer science background to rapidly learn new technologies and quickly apply them to solutions ready for production release. Matt showed a unique ability to remain intrinsically motivated regardless of the rapidly changing business needs. Matt continually met the technical needs of the role quickly and effectively. Most impressive is his work with javascript to power the online scheduling functionality of the site and his integration of the Servinity invite functionality with gmail and yahoo mail using OAUTH.

At SeatSnack Matt was a member of the founding partners responsible for designing and implementing the technology for the customer development stage of the business. The decision to stop operation on the business had nothing to do with the technology and everything to do with limited business opportunity. Matt’s team was able to develop a strong pillar that a business could be built on, unfortunately in this case, the there is a very limited business opportunity. Matt was able to learn all new technologies and create fully functioning prototypes that were instrumental in establishing the challenges the business would face if it continued forward.

Engineered solutions with the development team and then implemented solutions in a combination of PL/SQL, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS in an Oracle APEX environment. Included the enhancement of schedule functionality by adding new views & features (shift trading & scheduling-related communications) and construction of a multi-service contacts importer (using XML and JSON).
