I was a software engineer for the team responsible for making tools for the business-to-business sales team. I worked on creating plugins to Salesforce, including a telephony plugin that interfaced with the Cisco phone system. I also worked on microservices that synced data from various third party APIs into Wayfair's database for the analytics team to use. The latest project I worked on was a service that automated many of the operational tasks to be done in Salesforce, such as reassigning accounts and flagging potential high-gain opportunities. At Eze, I have worked as a Senior Engineer in a few different domains on the Eclipse product, which is a cloud based suite of software for asset managers. I have worked on the Accounting, Compliance, and Data Aggregation domains. I'm comfortable in a fast paced environment, with Agile and DevOps being the primary methodologies. I'm used to 1 week sprints, where accountability and feedback are important. I believe in a tight feedback loop between Product Owners, Developers, and the End Users. I primarily code in Javascript and Go, but also have significant experience with C# and SQL. I have hands-on experience with infrastructure tech such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Rancher. On the front end, I have worked with AngularJS and Angular. On the server side, I’ve used Node.js, Go, C#, SQL, and NoSQL. I have written both RESTful APIs and have implemented GraphQL endpoints. On the Compliance team, I was part of a group responsible for delivering new functionality. I was involved in project estimations and breaking down product ‘epics’ into estimable and actionable stories. I have worked with developers both local and across the globe. As a member of the Accounting team, I was part of the effort to decompose a monolithic .NET service into Go and Node based microservices. I had a strong DevOps experience, often assisting by being on-call for client support requests. I was responsible for ensuring that Accounting had regular, well tested releases, to keep the pipeline flowing. I also contributed in a significant way to the bug-kill effort, making the product more maintainable and scalable. For several years, I led a team that created an internal suite of tools used by our support teams to remotely track stability of client systems. In this role I worked closely with product management, QA, and developers both local and remote. We were one of the first teams to use an Agile process, and the quality of the end product showed.
