Mr. Matt Wentworth has been a terrific and involved addition the administration at Anna S. Kuhl Elementary School and the Port Jervis School District/ he has always made himself available to parents and staff in the district who have reached out to him to support ideas for programs and initiatives that recognize the diversity and contributions of the members of our community in and around Port Jervis. My own experiences with Matt have been in bringing awareness of the role of veterans in our society and the local community. When I asked to present a short program to several classes on the significance of Veterans Day and how to show appreciation and respect for them he was immediately supportive and over the last few years he has championed to taking the message from a few class rooms to a school assembly. Mr. Wentworth will continue to do right by those he serves and work with him for years to come.

Matthew is a tremendously bright and intuitive educational leader. His work with student data, programs and interventions was instrumental in moving the school forward. His background in software and Response to Intervention facilitated a way to track student performance and develop intervention plans for those in need all in an electronic format. Prior to his arrival, we literally had student performance Post-It notes hanging in the conference room. I can't say enough good things about him as a visionary educator.
