  I worked inside and behind the scenes at Columbia's TV Studios, in 600 S Michigan Ave on the 15th floor, since September of 2019. Outside of some retail work, this was my first job in the industry and I wouldn't trade it for any other experience over the years. I learned so much from working with my boss, co-workers, Students, and Teachers who came into the studios. We would help out behind the scenes of productions to ensure each student using our spaces could use the studios to the best of their abilities without error. Just some the the skills I picked up while working here: Trouble shooting problems, being open and patient with others, teaching students, equipment management, Etc. From learning to solder XLR's to Grass Valley troubleshooting I've seen the studios change so much in the 3 years I've been there and of course had to relearn new things we'd implement for students. The environment was so fun and relaxing between class's and just the right kind of stress when we had to troubleshoot problems that I only hope to get another job just as rewarding as this one. The stories I had, the people I worked with, the students I met, everything about the job I would love to experience all over again. Show less
