Ulstad has a plus-fastball in the mid 90s, with excellent movement. Uses it early in the count to ahead of batters. Able to fool batters with great 12-to-6 break on curve, but has trouble locating it, especially against left-handed batters. Slider tops out at 85-86 with above-average movement, could develop into an out pitch at the next level. Gets frustrated easily after walks and can snowball into bad innings. Could be a mid-to-top of the rotation starter if able to establish control with off-speed stuff.
