Experience

    • Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing

    • Student Success Advisor
      • Jul 2010 - Present

My job as a Student Success Advisor is to Guide students in an understanding that explains who they are and what they're doing here. This process involves assessments used as a rough guidelines, but the core of this procedure heavily relies on relationship building in combination with a genuine heart. Once the student better understands their own aspirations, then we feed them with the knowledge, tools, and tips necessary to succeed not only in College, but in everyday Life. After we feel the student has made a turn for the better, we reduce the amount of appointments and "check-up" on them in set intervals.

    • Assistant Resident Director
      • Apr 2009 - Jul 2010

Lived in an Apartment within a Dorm on the Middle Georgia College campus. My initial responsibility as an ARD was to help maintain an environment conducive to the college learning experience. This meant keeping the sleeping schedule of the college student, as any student could knock on my door or call my Lan-line at any given time in the Am. Other responsibilities included a scheduled Walk-through, to ensure that the student's understood that rules would be enforced. Resident Director's have to stay within the Dorm at all times except for a few weekends in the month, it was my job to provide that relief for the RD so they could get away to rejuvenate. While away, I was trusted with the Responsibility of that RD.

    • Processing/ Shipping
      • May 2008 - Apr 2009

My job at Dunham's Distribution was to meet a certain UPH (Units Per Hour) each day. This included tagging individual items for sale, boxing these items, then manually lifting them onto the Line (It was this position that was I was trusted well enough to train others in).Throughout my year at Dunham's I was able to serve in several departments. I worked in Shipping, where we loaded and unloaded Trucks, while counting shipment. I also had few months in Gun Stock, where I pulled certain rifles and shipped out heavy Ammunition. Lastly, I worked in Semi-Bulk; it was here where all of the items that were too big to be shipped out on the line were packed and shipped.Though the work was hard, I'm glad I had the experience to work in this Factory setting. It has since allowed me to not take any job for granted, and feel all the more blessed as I progress in Life.
