  Brecon As volunteer coordinator i am responsible for all volunteer programs and management. I was brought in to set up and run a Eco Therapy project under funding from the Welsh Council for Voluntary Action. By workinng closly with the local National Park and Wildlife Trust I set up the Eco project working in partnership with both organisations. This included managment of a national park wildlife garden, and a small woodland, undertaking conservaion work, working with the national park education… Show more As volunteer coordinator i am responsible for all volunteer programs and management. By workinng closly with the local National Park and Wildlife Trust I set up the Eco project working in partnership with both organisations. This included managment of a national park wildlife garden, and a small woodland, undertaking conservaion work, working with the national park education department we were able to deliver formal training to our volunnteers in conservation, I have also worked with the local college and was offered a small allotment witch I developed into a eco friendly planting project growing edibles and pollinator friendly flowers, we also took part in the wildlife trust pollinator project planting areas in the local town through donations from the public ad collections of seed packs and plants from the Brecknock wildlife trust. In the first year the eco project as nominated for both the Ramblers Award, and the UK national park volunteer awards being short listed to the final three. I was also responsible in setting up the volunteer film group for Brecon MIND. This group works on creating short films and documentories with volunteers learning basic digital media, including editing, interview technichues amd filming. i aslo set up two same sex support group giving peope to option to take part in voluntary activities in a same sex enviroment. the womans group was succeful enough to be developed into a complimentory therapy and is now under the managment of the social care team. I was also for a time responsible for running Senybridge out reach developing a monthly activities proram for local people. trainer for Brecon MIND i am a qualified Suicude intervention Trainer and have delived this to staff and public. i have also delivered Stress managment training. and written and delived course to outside groups.
