I have had the pleasure of working with Matt on projects and deliverables the last few months at General Assembly. During that time I’ve seen him learn and master new material and help his colleagues learn and succeed as well. On group projects he always worked as a team player and dove head first into difficult coding problems, working the extra hours to take deliverables from good to great. On his last project he showcased his knowledge of the stock market and trading models by building a trading and research app that combined his past experience with his new software engineering skillset. During my one-on-ones with Matt, he even took the time to generously educate me on the basics of the stock market, for which I can say I learned a lot during these sessions. This not only exhibited his expertise, but also demonstrated his patience and compassion in working with others. I look forward to seeing how he progresses in his career in the future and hope I get the chance to work with him again.
