Engineering & Infrastructure Internship

This was a 3-day virtual internship program by Bright Network on Engineering & Infrastructure. The experience included attending interactive sessions to connect with employers and develop my employability skills. These sessions were conducted by world-class companies including Atkins, Rolls-Royce, Amazon, Vodafone, Nestlé, Citrix & PA consulting. This internship also included the completion of a work sample supplied by PA consulting. This consisted of the design of an autonomous system that can effectively recycle PCBs by extracting the copper and essential electronic components from the PCB. To finish this internship I presented my findings to a fellow participant of the internship via a PowerPoint presentation on zoom and upon completion of this, I was awarded the certificate you see below. While I worked at JF Automotive, I shadowed key members of maintenance and customer service staff, observing their day-to-day work. Worked within the customer service department, handling client invoices and complaints. Assisted the head of maintenance with securing cars to the dyno and with test driving cars. Gained knowledge of key principles of tuning and remapping cars’ ECUs. While at Invicta Valves Ltd, I shadowed key members of manufacturing staff, observing their day-to-day activities. I worked in: the Customer Service Center, handling client complaints and where appropriate recommending solutions to the Managing Director. Assisted a Project Manager on risk management and contingency planning in case of failure at the Distribution Center. I produced an updated risk management plan for the company.
