Working within the Survey Department of a Multi Discipline design consultancy has exposed me to a large variety of survey work throughout the UK and abroad. They include:Workings as the Site Engineer during a Station rebuild. The position was predominately site based supervising the construction works, setting out as well as carrying out As Built and topographic surveys. I was also responsible for maintaining the main control through out the entire site traversing and levelling in new control stations as required. The position required me to work closely with the client and the designers ensuring that the drawings were up to date and that the Station was delivered on time to a tight time scale.Working on major tunnelling projects within London including the Thames Tideway Tunnel. I was responsible for the setting out, installation, traversing and levelling of Primary Control networks for the length of the tunnel prior to the start of tunnellingSetting up and maintaining a monitoring system to monitor two railway tunnels for movement whilst construction took place overhead. Due to the lack of access to the site and the 24 hour nature of the construction we installed 3 instruments along with a fully automated monitoring system that would monitor the tunnels 24 hour a day. The system would send out text and email alerts if any movements were detected.Laser Scanning to create 3D point clouds for wire frame drawings or to create elevations and cross sections. I also have experience using the Laser Scanner in kinematic mode mounted on a survey trolley to create a 3d fly through of the track environment or for clearance information during track relays.

Working for the Track Design section I have extensive experience working on London Underground infrastructure conducting As Built, Control and Topographical Surveys. I also have experience with Monitoring work, as well as Tunnel gauging using standard and bespoke measurement systems e.g. Leica Total Station, GRP3000 survey system and GPS within the track environment. I have also spent time seconded to one of our Civils projects, during which, I was responsible for setting out construction works such as pilings and checking work on our other sites. I was responsible for site measurement, team safety and deliverable aspects of the work, such as CAD drawings and processing of data as required.
