The Holbrook Club is a private not for profit Sports Club with a strong focus on providing sport and social facilities to the people of Horsham. The club provides facilities including tennis, squash, football, rugby, fitness & aerobics, 5 a side football, badminton and offers large meeting and banqueting facilities. •Heading up a team of 5 heads of department and overseeing a workforce of 55 full and part time staff. •Overseeing the day to day running of the site and reporting monthly to the Board of Directors •Developing long term and short term strategies for membership sales, retention and business development. Since starting at the club I’ve focused on developing a long term strategy to enable the club to have a stable and secure financial future. This has included a re-development programme for the site focusing on increasing capacity in the gym, new dry side changing facilities and building two 3G five-a-side pitches.

After working my way up from Fitness Instructor to General Manager in the health and fitness sector I decided I wanted the opportunity to put all I had learnt into owning and operating my very own health club. So in 2004 with my business partner we purchased a struggling health club with just 900 members and over the coming years we grew that to 2000 members through strong sales, retention and customer engagement programs.
