Student Teacher of Physical Education at both GCSE Level and KS3 at The Eastbourne Academy. I am teaching a range of year groups and range of abilities. I have year 7 mixed classes, year 8 top classes, year 9 mixed classes, core year 10 PE and year 11 VCert classes. This range of year groups across my timetable will help me become a more effective teacher as in my last placement I was mainly teaching KS3. The mixed classes will give me a good experience of how to teach girls also. I have already taken on a lot of the extra-curricular roles and will be coaching year 8 Boys football as well as leading squash and badminton. This school has a range of pupils and therefore during my placement it will be crucial that I strip back skills to make learning and progress more accessible to all. This school will test my behaviour management but will also help me development my differentiation and assessment. Show less

My role was to attend meetings and put across any issues there are with the course that my cohort is not happy with. I am able to not just voice others opinions but I've improved at voicing my own and this is crucial relating to the status of physical education and therefore this role has and will continue to bring me transferable skills.

Teacher of Physical Education at both (GCSE Level and KS3) at Langley Park School for Boys (Ofsted Outstanding across all categories). Since starting my placement at LPSB, I have made fast progress in behaviour management and in planning and delivering good and enjoyable, differentiated lessons for all my students. My awareness for assessment has improved rapidly due to the data input I’ve had to complete through my time here. I believe that the rapport I am able to gain quickly with pupils is one of my greatest professional strengths. I have also done some teaching of KS3 maths to encourage the possibility for a second subject within my role. To add to this I contribute largely to the extra-curriculum at LPSB, coaching U15 Rugby and leading boost club. Show less

I mentored and tutored year 7 girls with their core studies. This experience allowed me to gain the ability to analyse strengths, weaknesses and how we can develop. This role improved my communication and people skills but it also taught me that I can be very responsible and act like a role model which was very eye-opening.
