  I helped lead adventure classes that taught skills such as orienteering, map reading, and also core curriculum classes as well. Out days are also a huge deal for the system at YBEC, which gives their students the chance to explore a new skill set and be active. On these days, I helped teach students how to perform a wet exit from a kayak and lead several hikes.   I worked with the Admissions team at Messiah College for several years, including full-time throughout the entire summer of 2016. My responsibilities included helping prepare materials for the Admissions Counselors when they traveled to territories across the United States in order for them to effectively recruit students to attend Messiah for their undergraduate degrees. I also directly helped to recruit students by giving tours of the campus to visitors, working in the call center to contact interested students, and attending fairs and festivals that high school students were attending.   I worked as a specialist and activity leader for guest experiences such as rock climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, team building exercises, and on a low ropes course. I also helped to prepare meals for guests and worked in the lodge's kitchen. When guests weren't staying at the lodge or weren't participating in activities, I helped to maintain the campus' lawn and a nearby park, as well as working to making sure the guest rooms were completely clean for incoming visitors.
