Portsmouth academy- an Inner city secondary school is in the heart of the city. As HLTA I had the responsibility of overseeing and maintaining the music department equipment and lesson take up, additionally I provided instrument tuition to KS4 students in preparation for their exams. I worked 1-1 and in small groups with students as well as teaching whole class music and Drama. I also set up and provided a music therapy scheme for our most vulnerable students.
