Active South Derbyshire Through funding secured from the Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s Large Grants scheme, Active South Derbyshire I deliver one-to-one mentoring service for those aged between 11-16 years. The young people I am working with have been referred to the program and show signs of or are at risk of: - Poor mental health and overall wellbeing - Poor school attendance and attainment levels - Permanent exclusion - Perpetrators of anti-social behaviour or crime - Victims of anti-social behaviour or crime - Anyone under a Community Protection Notice The aim of the scheme is to use physical activity/sport as a vehicle for change. Bikeability I am working on the Bikeability program delivered to schools and am going through the process of becoming a qualified instructor in this. Show less

Legacies and In Memory Executive
-
Jun 2018 - Jun 2020
My role included both developing the legacy and in-memory strategy and implementing it to maximise donations for the charity. It has been my experience that utilising a mix of both national campaigns assets such as Remember a Charity Week in September and in house campaigns Like the Make a Will Week which I ran in June, with the tag line Living legends wanted creates key focal points throughout the year that the charity as a whole can get behind and use. For example, the Community Fundraising team and volunteers utilised two of my slides to introduce the ideas of how Legacies have impacted the service. Also introducing the idea of Make a Will Week. Working with the retail team utilising the charity assets has also been beneficial. Using the Living Legends Wanted campaign I created posters and flyers that were distributed to all shops and selected recycling containers with prominent footfall were selected to advertise the campaign. Door drops were focused on areas closest to participating solicitors. My remit also included In memory, and I was tasked with creating a tangible in-memory product to complement the online giving model. With supporters often wanted to visit one of the HEMS bases and this not being practical. I created The Air Ambulance Memorial Woodland in partnership with the National Forest (pictured below myself with my daughter at a tree planting). Which has led to legacy pledges and one Will to include a Memorial Plaque to join her husband’s. Legacy fundraising can often be seen as an independent fundraising stream, it has been my experience that creating a joint approach to marketing and embedding the legacy message across the charity has brought the largest gifts.
