I had the pleasure during my thirty years with COTY BEAUTY to be associated with Matthew McNaughton and to collaborate directly with him and his direct reports on various corporate initiatives during my entire tenure with Coty. As the Vice President of Merchandising and Training, Matthew was one of my direct reports. He and I routinely partnered on budget reviews, strategic planning and business development issues. Matthew is the consummate professional. He is a clear communicator who is consistently well-prepared, accurate and demonstrates the highest level of competency in his abilities. In addition to being an exceptional cross-discipline partner, Matthew is one of the finest team leaders I have experienced. In his position as the Director of Merchandising and Sales, he was responsible for a department comprised of more than 40 professionals. Matthew’s leadership style is based on leading by example and he motivates through inspiration, coaching and mentoring. As a professional, Matthew is faithful to the corporate objectives. He is a team player who always puts the best interests of the organization at the forefront. His strong interpersonal skills are coupled with his ability to work toward the common goals of the company. Matthew’s personal character is one of honesty, integrity, determination and fairness.

As a Sales Representative reporting directly to me, Matt managed his territory professionally; he created opportunities for new business consistently; and made/exceeded assigned quota each quarter. More importantly, Matt built long-lasting trusted adviser relationships with his customers - including the really tough ones, and was a highly respected colleague and leader on our team. I recommend Matt without reservation.
