  Assisting the Director of Risk and Compliance, my role was to ensure that RPC developed and maintained the highest standards of conduct, and that this was applied to client relationships, the management of risk and security, and adherence to the firms regulatory and statutory obligations. In particular, I was responsible for writing a number of internal policies and procedures for the firm, to ensure compliance with the requirements laid down by the Solicitor’s Regulatory Authority; assisted with the implementation and marking of a continuous audit programme; developed training for the firms staff; assisted the Director of Risk and Compliance with the resolution of conflicts, and the screening of prospective clients; and prepared detailed monthly reports on risk and security for the firms board of senior partners.
