  I worked with frontline employees (electricians, fabricators, assemblers and machinists), front office personnel and department managers to streamline the flow of parts and components to the shop floor in a dynamic, custom design & manufacturing facility. We greatly reduced the time spent searching for and retrieving parts, developed a kitting process to quicken the pace of production, reduce errors, reveal deficiencies earlier in the process and keep work progressing smoothly and on time throughout the facility.

  The position included such responsibilities as the prioritization of orders received from customers, arrangement of shipping to customer, maintaining and managing inventory as well as coordination with other sectors of our internal manufacturing process. In a largely self directed role, constant system improvement was required to reduce time and materials spent in packaging and pulling operations. I received additional training in process improvement strategies (Lean, Kaizen, Kanban) through consultation with WMEP (Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership), emphasizing data collection and process documentation to reduce waste and boost productivity.
