I was most impressed with Matt the first few weeks I worked with him and more than two years later, I am even a bigger fan. Matt started out as an entry-level analyst and was promoted multiple times, most recently operating as a most trusted Data Engineer. Matt's rapid advancement and progression is a testament to his innate ability to consume and internalize new subject-matter deeply and quickly. He is thoughtful, diligent, resourceful and has a can-do, will-do attitude. Often, the smartest person in the room, Matt has no need to prove this, and instead is an absolutely model teammate. His grasp of complex topics is outstanding and he has an uncanny ability to explain complicated matter simply and eloquently. As a Data Engineer, Matt was responsible for much of the intricate portions of our data pipeline and MDM module ... which he planned, documented, developed and tested with little fanfare and unparalleled quality. He is mostly self-taught - which is astounding given the fact that he is fundamentally so sound and structured (while maintaining a prolific output). His ability to thrive as a "go-getter" and "will-doer" in a less defined and rapidly changing work environment makes him an absolute star.
