Jul 2017 - Aug 2017
This was an internship I secured through the 'Career Ready' programme when I was in college which gave me skills and experience so I could be prepared for work in the future. In this role it involved serving customers behind the counter while also working behind the scenes with jobs like counting money to online services. Furthermore, I organised a charity event whilst working at Santander which was to raise funds for a fellow employee who was planning a trip to Nepal to build schools. This involved a five-a-side football tournament where Santander employees around the North East all came together to play in the tournament but more importantly to raise money.Skills developed:• Adaptability – Completed a variety of roles within the bank moving from front of house to handling money behind the tills to arranging mortgage files • Customer Service – Provided high levels of customer service, listening carefully to customers’ needs and pointing them towards the correct solution or others who could help
