During my 5 years as CFO with Cleveland Potash I worked closely with Matthew and I found him to be hard working and extremely professional. As UK HR Manager he led several staff restructuring projects with good outcomes and he proved himself to be a good leader, negotiator and excellent communicator. Matthew is intellectually strong, down to earth and always available to have a chat with or bounce ideas around. He is pleasure to work with.

From 2014 until 2017 i was employed as Vice President HR Emea and Head of the HR Shared Services Center with ICL Chemicals in Amsterdam. In that role Matthew Hart reported to me as HR Manager UK, residing at the Boulby mine in Yorkshire. Matthew has proven himself to be a very hardworking, loyal and skillful HR Manager with particular talent and strength in the area of Industrial and employee relations. Matthew had to go through various, large reductions in force and managed these brilliantly from a communication point of view, without any unnecessary union uproar or other, emotional drama. Excellent communication skills that ensures that all parties felt involved and informed and the redundancy process therefore went very effectively with a good sense of humanity and fairness, while still driving towards the company goal. Matthew is also just a nice person, somewhat introvert and a very approachable HR professional who is very popular with his coworkers and bosses. Very hardworking despite the fact that Matthew had a young family at home with small children. I would recommend to hire Matthew to anyone who is looking for a practical, no nonsense, skillsfull and effective HR manager. And i will be happy to function as Matthew's professional reference at any time. Frans van Buuren
