  -Solo research to identify potential sand, gravel, and limestone deposits using any information available; contact landowners for exploration when conditions allowed. -Conduct drilling and oversee drilling crew; compile testing results and participate in the analysis; design new sites, mine plans, reclamation plans (including development of various types of wetlands, prairie, and other natural habitat areas) -Submit applications with drafted plans to obtain various permits including: conditional use, floodplain development, Joint 410/404, water use, NPDES No. 5, etc.; coordinate between multiple agencies in permitting; make presentations at public hearings -Map progress with GPS survey equipment imported to computer aided drafting and GIS software.
