Backup Shipping Clerk
-
Feb 2021 - May 2022
Shipped over 1.5 million USD in freight a day, anywhere from 200-500+ pallets for multiple shipments with customer specifications adhered to and over a dozen different carriers. Created all Bills of Lading for all freight shipments leaving the facility. The companies ERP for shipping was SAP. I had to be fluent in the 23 transactions I used daily in the company's SAP interface. Should issues occur because of missing items, weight inaccuracies, volume issues, I would use our SAP interface to find out what was wrong, and fix the issue so I could continue with shipment. I also have knowledge releasing orders both freight and parcel, receiving inventory and assigning bins and bin to bin transfers. I would work with all major US trucking carriers to ensure the right trailers showed up for what we needed, instruct the dock crew what to load and into which specific trailer. During my tenure my team had 0 misshipments or errors in the year and a half I worked on the dock as a shipping clerk, the only team to do so. Lastly I completed Amazon Fulfillment orders and ensured Amazons requirements were met and the freight was ready to be shipped. I have experience with international shipping requirements, as well as international freight shipments by third parties. Show less
