I had the true pleasure of working with Matt at Constellation Bands. While he was the Director in our Fine Wine group, I was his dotted line source for data analysis and consumer insights. We worked together to understand the competitive marketplace, and understand the results of several key launches. I wanted to post this recommendation, as I think that Matt has a unique skillset. There are few people I can speak with in the industry who combine deep wine industry knowledge, top MBA business skills, a Master of Wine product knowledge, and common sense. For me, it allowed conversations where we got to the right questions, and therefore researched and developed strong answers. His understanding of the data strengths, weaknesses and limitations allowed us to focus on the nuances of the results, and not have those far too frequent conversations of "let me explain to you why you can't draw that conclusion from these numbers". Matt is truly a unique skillset, and beyond that, a great teammate. He is driven and demanding, but at the same time has fun every step of the way. We worked hard on our projects, but always kept it light, fun and laughed our way through the truly difficult and complex processes, and always necessary output adjustments.
