Bio
Richard Brooks
Matthew is an excellent Director, Producer and Post-Production specialist and I would jump at the opportunity to work with him again. I had sought out Matthew because I was aware of his track-record for richly atmospheric productions. Working with him on the podcast drama ‘A Haunting Beyond the Lake’ (currently nominated for the UK International Radio Drama Awards), I immediately appreciated his strongly collaborative approach. Matthew has a very can-do attitude. He was very keen to experiment with different recording approaches, his professionalism in establishing the team immediately put the cast at ease and his direction over a remote set-up had all the immediacy of doing it face-to-face. Matthew brings his own distinctive creative vision, but is willing to listen and flex his approach, which I greatly appreciated. When I differed with Matthew on a soundscape design, he immediately changed it, crafting a completely different style that really transformed the production – it was a determination to make the production work that really impressed me. The end result was a production that has received outstandingly positive feedback from everyone who listened. The success is based in no small part based on Matthew’s attention to detail, his command and experience, but also agility and flexibility. It’s a pleasure to recommend him to others.

Matthew is extremely good at what he does—he is professional, efficient, and fiercely loyal to the people and projects he loves. He is a fine collaborator, and takes notes well; he's also unafraid to speak his mind, and gives very insightful and actionable feedback. As a producer on Radio Drama Revival, Matt cuts and assembles guest interviews; I give him pretty disjointed conversations, and he turns them into elegant, flowing interviews. It's not an easy task, and he knocks it out of the park. I recommend Matthew Boudreau without hesitation: he makes any media organization he touches more effective, more agile, and more fun. He's a good man, and I'm proud to call him a friend and colleague.

The United States Air Force was one of the most eclectic experiences of my life. The military taught me there is a process for everything, and that even the most complicated processes can be broken down, learned, and absorbed. I learned to balance the morale of those who work as my subordinates with the need to get things done efficiently and decisively. I learned to understand when the people or the mission take priority. In addition to my duties as a vehicle operator/dispatcher, the Air Force is where I first learned to build and repair computers as a computer manager for Vehicle Operations. Show less
