Bio

At Maverick, I closely worked with the VFX department and I loved doing so. The Senior Motion Designer at Maverick ( who actually taught Matteo in previous roles) told me to lean on him and push him as he has skills that could easily flourish. That he did! This saw a rise in confidence in Matteo to tackle any task at hand and allowing him to put his creative spin on it too. His strong motion graphics skill has seen him develop work for my previous clients whilst I was at Maverick; in turn was absolutely loved. This started to be a common theme with Matteo’s work which I was very happy to work with him on a consistent basis. One project that we both worked on together, a WIP was provided to the client throughout the early stage of the job to provide them with the confidence that we were going in the right direction. The feedback again was very good and from there, this devised a new method of learning engagement for them. For Maverick, a was also a new form revenue stream which we both pushed to make because we knew it could work. Overall, Matteo is a pleasure to work with, he loves creating nice visuals and it’s so clear that his passion for his craft comes through when you start collaborating with him. He also loves photography and cameras too which was another reason we got along. I can see some lovely work coming from him in the near future; just make sure he’s given kick arse motion graphic jobs to allow him to flex those muscles. If you’re leading a motion graphics team, you’ll definitely want him on your roster!

Collaborating on our video submission for Media Brand of the Year was the biggest highlight in working with Matteo. Based on that video we won against stiff competition from Facebook, Vice, ITV, Instagram and Exterion. As creative director, editor, photographer and videographer on the project, our teams owe Matteo a lot - we couldn't have impressed without him. Working with Matteo was a pleasure. Not just because of his calm composure, great sense of humour and kindness, but also because I had enormous respect for his skills, high standards and commitment to his work. From pushing the boundaries of our email marketing design, through to his attention to detail on advertising campaign mock-ups, Matteo was the ideal design partner for our B2B marketing and I know he'll be the perfect fit in any creative team. He is sorely missed.
